At Silverstone Lorenzo holds advantage

The AirAsia British Grand Prix, in the MotoGP Championship as the premier class heads to Round 6 of the 2011 season. Jorge Lorenzo from Yamaha Factory Racing leads the standings.

Lorenzo talk : “Silverstone one of his best”  with pole position he dominated the proceedings last year and : he likes the Silverstone. Lorenzo is ready altought although saw Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda) move up to just seven points behind the Mallorcan in second.

The Italian sits third in the Championship standings .Andrea Dovizioso is prepared to shoot for another podium finish at the British circuit At Silverstone on the podium last year Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda) finished second.

After finishing and qualifying one place higher on the grid than his then team mate Casey Stoner, at Silverstone Valentino Rossi crossed the line fourth last year. since returning from injury at the German GP last year he has finished in the top seven in all sixteen races. He missed the British GP last year when injuries suffered in his crash at Mugello.

By a British rider in MotoGP since James Toseland finished sixth at Indianapolis in 2009 MotoGP rookie Cal Crutchlow (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) finish at Catalunya is the best result. From pole Crutchlow took a double win in last year's Silverstone superbike round. At Montmeló on Sunday his best result of the season so far with seventh place.

Dani Pedrosa  (Repsol Honda’s ) continues to recover from a broken right collarbone sustained. In the British GP round Dani Pedrosa will not be participating.

after Hiroshi Aoyama ( the San Carlo Honda Gresini Team ) suffered a high side during Sunday morning warm up last year, he is hoping to redefine the Silverstone circuit for himself.
